I'm a Hair Product Junkie

Its true! I look in my garden tub and in it sits a giant plastic basket full of hair products. It doesn't matter that they all work great, I just like to switch up my routine so my hair doesn't get tired of the same old stuff (at least thats how I justify it, LOL).

I have DevaCurl, Curl Junkie, AG Re:coil, Jessicurl, Curly Hair Solutions, Spiral Solutions, and Biosilk Rock Hard Gel. I definately don't need them all, but I guess I just can't help but keep looking for the all illusive "Holy Grail" of hair products. So it makes me a product junkie, it is what it is.

My CG Method Adventures

I started the Curly Girl method in November and I am quite happy so far with the results, although my wallet is feeling pretty light lately with all the products I keep buying to try. Why are we always looking for the next best thing?

I just got my hair cut last week. It needed a trim desparately and my layers were uneven from a previous bad hair cut. (Thats what I get for being cheap and going to a cheap salon.) So $35 later, I have a great hair cut and a new stylist! Yipee!

Taking a Break from Making Jewelry

I think I fell in a rut. I just haven't had the motivation to make any jewelry lately. So, I'm putting away all my gems and sterling silver and just going to take a hiatus from creating jewelry.

But don't fret, I will still make a custom piece if you need one :)

My First Experience with PMC

I just love how these earrings turned out! They started out to just be some wire wrapped hoops but then I got carried away and decided to add some gemstone danglies to make them more stylish. I think they came out gorgeous!

Green Onyx Wire Wrapped Earrings

I have been obsessed with wire wrapping lately. I just love the way it looks. It takes a lot of time to wrap the frames but the end result is just amazing. On these earrings I added faceted Green Onyx and then dipped the earrings in Liver of Sulfur. After a polish and time in the tumbler, here is the results. My First Experiment With Liver of Sulfur

Well, I had my first experiment with liver of sulfur today. I was very scared how the jewelry would turn out especially since the time involved to make each piece was rather lengthy and I didn't want to have to make the items over again. I think they turned out quite nicely. The oval pendant has a row of pearls on the other side but I like it better on the back side. The round pendant has not been dipped in LOS, its just another creation I wanted to share. Enjoy!

Austrian Alps

I went to Germany & Austria in January on a business/leisure trip. It was a lot of fun. I drank too much wine and too much beer, but it was all worth it. Here is a lovely view of the Alps. I hope I can go back again next year. Enjoy!

Baxter - My Crazy Cat

Baxter is my little baby! I just love him! He has the most strangest fur. It is so soft that it reminds me of bunny fur. I have never petted a cat as soft as him. He also has an unusually long tail. Here he is playing with his handmade catnip toy that I bought from an Etsy seller. He just loves it so much!

My Trip To Germany & Austria

A few weeks ago, I went to Germany and Austria. The company I work for is owned by a German company. They have an international sales meeting there every year. Although I'm not a salesperson, I got to go this year because I think I made them feel guilty, LOL. I've worked there for almost 9 years so I guess it was time I got to go. We had a great time and managed to take a weekend trip to Austria. Here is a beautiful picture of the Alps. Enjoy!
